🌿 Just This Moment
A quiet reflection for anyone seeking clarity in chaos.
Sometimes, the world moves too fast.
But nature doesn’t rush.
This morning, I sat by a brook—and something inside me stilled.
No grand epiphany, no loud message.
Just a soft reminder: peace is not in the past, not in the future.
It’s here. In this exact breath.
And so I wrote this.
I sat along the brook,
Wetting my feet.
Gazing deep into the water,
I saw the clear pebbles lodged deep into the crevices,
Smiling brightly at me.
They knew not where they came from—
But were happy to lie there for now.
I looked up at the huge trees,
Each bigger and taller than the rest,
Looking upwards, reaching into the clear sky
With hope and joy.
I saw the birds flitting from one branch to another,
All joyful with their incessant chatter,
Pecking the fruits,
Going about at will.
I looked sideways and saw a fog
Moving slowly toward me.
I closed my eyes
And felt the cool, gentle caress of the fog—
Soothing me with its silken touch.
When I opened my eyes,
The fog was moving away,
Taking with it
The cobwebs in my mind.
Then I got up and realized—
There is no past.
No future.
Just this moment.
Cherish it. Live it.
