Beautiful post with wisdom and exquisite poetic touch🌟 Self pity can be heavy, and if you let it stay too long you become a victim. It will drain you, and it will not help you. Unfortunateley you often don’t realize this yourself. It’s you against the whole world. So let all the pebbles go into the sea or whereever and be FREE🌟💟
I climbed that cliff with you in my imagination, feeling the wind tangle my hair like strings of forgotten songs. I saw you gather those heavy little stones of regret and whisper to them, “You are not welcome here.” I felt how each pebble wasn’t just a burden, it was a tiny story you’d been rereading in the dark too many times.
Each fragment of that self pity can feel like a pebble.
It’s also one of the most tenacious things to overcome. It swallows you alive if you’re not cautious or aware enough to be cautious. It’s important to let go of our baggage to create room in our lives for what we truly desire. That takes asking ourselves the question : What do we desire?
I’ve been holding onto old mistakes that I replay like a broken record, even though no one else likely remembers them. Reading this makes me think about letting at least one of them go. Thank you!
Inspiring words from a poet at heart. I think she has gained the wisdom of an elder at what I consider still “a tender age”. Exceptional post. People of any age should take to heart the poetic prose offered here.

Exquisite
Beautifully written ❤️
By letting go of self-pity, freeing ourselves from its control, we begin to live fully.
A clever piece of writing. I like this. But as to the pebble I hold onto - I keep it hidden in my balled fist so no one can see it! x
Capry,
This was so beautifully comprised.

That's powerful. Letting go of self-pity is the first step toward real freedom.
Too many of us wallow in self pity.
Thanks.
Self pity destroys you.
We start playing the victim card once too often and that becomes a habit.
Good question.
What do we desire??
I ask myself this question frequently.💓
Thanks 😊
